Adding Flavor to your Coffee

coffee flavorAround the world, most adults prefer coffee as their morning brew. While Americans may think they set the bar on this particular trend there are other countries that could match most Americans cup for cup for their daily consumption. Not only will you find a vast array of coffee drinkers throughout the world, you will also find more than your fair share of coffee styles, varieties, and flavors.

Coffee has evolved a great deal since it was first discovered and perhaps one of the greatest gifts of this evolutionary process was the addition of milk and caramel.

I'm one of the many people in the world who seems to have a coffee for every occasion. Not only do I believe there is the perfect coffee for every occasion, but I also believe there is a perfect coffee for each and every whim. Some people go through life never experiencing the pure bliss of frappe or cappuccino while others, have tried every flavor that has come their way and hope to try a flavor or two more along the way. How on earth will you ever know you're missing something wonderful after all, if you never bother to try something new?

Coffee offers so many options that even those coffee drinkers that are unsure of where to begin may have a place to start. There are coffees that should be of some degree of appeal to those with a sweet tooth. Long gone are the days when International Foods provided the only flavored coffee product to the masses. You can even go with adding your very own flavors to your coffee rather than relying on others to add, mix, or match flavors for you. Start small, perhaps by trying a lighter or darker roast than you traditionally drink. Then work your way up to adding some vanilla, chocolate, or caramel syrup to your coffee.

If you are still hesitant to add flavored syrups to your coffee, how about trying one of the many flavored cream products that are making their way into grocery stores all across the country. You can even find small packets of these in some convenience stores. These flavored creams allow you not only the option to add a little flavor to your coffee but also place control of the amount of flavor being added. It's always a good idea to start small and grow along the way. Creams are certainly no different.

The key with coffee, as it is the morning drink of choice for so many is to be open to trying new things and be willing to share your favorite with others as well. You'll be surprised by how much a common coffee flavor can link two complete strangers. Because in the great big world we live in, the coffee drinking community is still a community and one that is spreading warmth around the world, one deliciously flavored sip at a time.
