Christmas Coffee Giving
As the holidays approach, more quickly each year it seems, many of us find ourselves scratching our heads in wonder about what to get for the one or two people on our shopping lists who seem to have everything already. The good news is, that if they are coffee lovers, there are a few things you can get them that they may not already have yet will add to their coffee drinking pleasure morning after morning.
Most coffee lovers have the basics. You generally won't need to buy them a grinder, coffee maker, or even in some instances roasters. Generally, those that want roasters get them, the rest would rather buy their beans already roasted (unless of course they are passing around the hint that they would love a roaster). Each of these provide more difficult shopping choices at any rate because different coffee drinkers will have different preferences.
Despite Dennis Leary and his ranting about coffee flavored coffee, there is a large majority of the population that actually enjoys drinking flavored coffees. Additionally, they enjoy trying new flavors. This is where gift giving gets fun. Even for those on diets there are low cal, low fat, and low carb syrups that add a great amount of flavor to coffee. You can grab a few of these, some gourmet coffee spoons (you know the ones that have milk chocolate and peppermint or dark chocolate and caramel or white chocolate and maple syrup or some other enchanting combination of delightful flavors), and a gourmet cream or two; combine these with a small order of chocolate covered coffee beans and put them in a basket and you have a gift fit for a king or a queen.
Other gifts you can give include a subscription to a coffee of the month club. This gives them something to look forward to each and every month of the year. The really great news about coffee of the month clubs is that there are some that will suit almost every budget. Be sure to find out though if the person on your list prefers ground coffees or beans and order accordingly. Clubs such as this are wonderful because first of all, it's a gift that lasts all year. And second it allows your friend or loved one an opportunity to try new coffee flavors throughout the year that he or she may not have otherwise thought to try.
I mentioned chocolate covered coffee beans above as an add in to the basket. If you need a small gift for a company function or Christmas gift trade, these are wonderful gifts to include. I find they go over especially well at company Christmas parties or when you play the 'take away' gift game. People will fight over these goodies. They appeal to both the chocolate lover and the coffee lover, which generally includes several among your guests.
Hopefully, this will have provided you with some wonderful holiday gift giving thoughts and ideas. If you are still at a loss you can always raid their cabinets in order to find their favorite coffee blend and have an auto shipment of that to them every month. The key is to be creative and find a gift that they will truly enjoy that you will enjoy giving.
