Organic Coffee - pesticide free
If you consider yourself a person of the modern world then you have probably heard the benefits of organic foods and coffee proclaimed endlessly in health reviews and even more often by those trying to sell you these things. It's beginning to sound like a broken record. In fact, it might be enough that people should begin, at the very least, to pay attention and consider trying organic products in order to decide for themselves if they notice a change.
The truth is that most of us are quite negligent about policing what we put into our mouths. If there is any doubt as to the voracity of my statement look around and check the figures for obesity around the world. It's amazing that in this day and age of super health conscious people we are so negligent as to the chemical composites of what we are consuming through food and liquid on a daily basis. Even ordinary glasses of water have been coming under fire in recent years as should be evidenced by the incredible surge in sales of bottled water as the drink of choice for many modern minded Americans as well as those around the world.
Organic coffee is made without the use of chemicals in the fertilization, protection, or processing of the coffee beans. Farms or plantations have to go through quite a lengthy process in order to become certified organic. You will notice that there are quite a few 'fair trade' coffee products that do not have quite the standard of requirements that certified organic coffee requires but are very good in their own right.
The choice is up to you whether or not you are willing to do the individual research into fair trade coffees in order to find out the truth about what is used in the processing, pest and disease control, and fertilization process. In addition to providing healthy options for your coffee drinking pleasure, organic coffee is famous for offering delicious options as well.
Pesticides in addition to being chemicals have been linked to birth defects, some forms of cancer, and other health related problems. Drinking organic coffee and eating organic foods is a great way to bring health and wellness to your family while developing good habits that will hopefully last a lifetime. Teaching your children early in life to respect what they consume may help them develop healthy eating habits from the start.
Another great thing about organic coffee is that it is often shade-grown and will take on a hint of the flavor of the tree that provides the shade. There are so many things that affect the flavor of the coffee you drink; it's wonderful to think that fruit trees or nut trees can provide great shade for the coffee you will drink. Among those are wonderful natural fertilizers, a habitat for animals that assist in pollination, and countless other benefits to the coffee beans that will one day create your cup of coffee. Regardless of your coffee flavor preference, there is sure to be an organic coffee that can both meet and exceed your coffee drinking needs.
