Chicory Coffee is the Flavor of New Orleans

If you've ever traveled to New Orleans and ordered a cup of coffee, chances are you noticed something a little different about your morning brew. That little bit (or lot depending on where you are staying) of something different is called Chicory. While it may be associated with other great southern cities, my first experience with this special flavor was in New Orleans and I will always associate chicory with this eternally fascinating city.

Coffee is a rather personal drink to many people all around the world. Different people prefer different flavors for their coffee drinking pleasure. It is the vastness of the differences in selections, flavor, and aroma that makes coffee the popular drink that it has become around the world.
The Flavor of Christmas

I don't know about you but I love Christmas. I find myself getting excited and starting to look forward to the holidays about the time I feel that first little bit of a chill in the air. I know it's getting to be time for sweaters, turtlenecks, scarves, mittens, cocoa, and the wonderfully flavored (and deliciously scented) Christmas coffees that my favorite shops are preparing to introduce for the season.

Around the world, most adults prefer coffee as their morning brew. While Americans may think they set the bar on this particular trend there are other countries that could match most Americans cup for cup for their daily consumption. In the past, you could choose from the vast selection of regular and decaf coffee when dining out. Espresso and cappuccino was something reserved for fine dining and most people would only give you a blank stare if you asked any questions about the quality of the beans used in their coffee. My how times have changed.
